JML Design is an independent bathroom designer for renovations and new builds across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, led by Julia Lloyd, winner of the 2025 KBDi Queensland Small Bathrooms Award.

In 2025, JML Design’s compact townhouse bathroom won the KBDi Queensland Small Bathrooms Award: a dated bathroom and separate toilet merged into one calm, functional room, despite a shared firewall that restricted plumbing.
What an independent bathroom designer does
An independent bathroom designer plans your layout, fixtures, tiles, lighting, vanity and storage, then documents it clearly for your builder or renovator. Because we don’t build, our advice isn’t tied to a construction quote. You can take the design to any licensed trade you choose.
Depending on your project scope, bathroom design may include:

We provide the design and documentation; your licensed builder delivers the construction. Where ongoing support is part of your scope, we work alongside your builder, suppliers and trades to keep the design intent clear.
